Assembly Procedure
Keep all parts clean from contaminants.Contaminants may cause rapid wear and shortened component life.

Insert the shaft (2) into the housing (5) of the air choke.
Install the choke plate (4). When you install the choke plate leave the mounting bolts (1) loose. Install the thrust washer (3). Install the bolts. Tighten the bolts to a torque of 47 9 N m (35 7 lb ft). Fully close the choke plate. Tighten the mounting bolts for the choke plate to a torque of 12 3 N m (9 2 lb ft).
Install the plate and the two bolts. Tighten the two bolts to a torque of 47 9 N m (35 7 lb ft).
When the choke plate is assembled on the shaft, install the adjusting bolt until the adjusting bolt makes contact with the stop plate. The adjusting bolt should then be tightened an additional 90 degrees. Tighten the adjusting nut to a torque of 25 6 N m (18 5 lb ft). Note: Do not allow the set screw to turn while you tighten the locknut.End By:
