773 TrucksDescription of Change: A new, stronger core assembly is used in the aftercooler group for the above models. The new core has eight angle suggests added at the upper corners of the tube sections. The gussets are welded to the tube sections and the top (header) section of the core assembly. This lowers the stresses in the connections where the tubes are fastened to the top (header) section of the core. Formerly, stresses were high enough in some conditions to cause failure of the tubes near the top.Adaptable As: The new 7N173 Aftercooler Core Assembly is a direct replacement for the former 9S7300 Aftercooler Core Assembly, which is canceled.
