Information:
Ejector Kickout Valve
The ejector kickout valve is in the end of the valve stem for the ejector (in the control valve).
REAR OF SCRAPER CONTROL VALVE (Typical)
1. Housing. 2. Valve. 3. Air line.To check the pressure setting of the kickout valve, use the test equipment installed in the pump connection that was used in the test for the relief valve in the control valve. With the engine running at high idle rpm and the floor OPEN, move the control lever for the ejector to the return (detent) position. Look at the pressure gauge when the floor closes. When the pressure reading on the gauge is 1900 100 psi (13 090 690 kPa), the ejector kickout valve must open to move the control lever for the ejector to the HOLD position. If it is necessary to change the pressure setting of the ejector kickout valve, disconnect oil line (3) from valve (2) on the end of spring housing (1) for the ejector valve stem and remove the valve.
KICKOUT VALVE IN EJECTOR VALVE STEM
1. Spring housing. 4. Screw.Use a .12 inch hex wrench through the hole in the end of spring housing (1), where the air valve was removed, and turn the screw either clockwise to increase or counterclockwise to decrease the pressure setting of the ejector kickout valve. One-half turn of screw (4) changes the pressure setting of the valve approximately 135 psi (930 kpa).If air valve (2) on the end of housing (1) was removed, the torque to install the valve is 55 5 lb. ft. (75 7 N m). Connect air line (3) to valve (2).Elevator Chain Adjustment
Hydraulic chain adjusters, one on each side of the elevator frame, are used when it is necessary to remove excess slack from the elevator chains. Open the covers, on the frame, over the grease fitting on the hydraulic chain adjusters.Use a grease gun to put grease in the adjusters at fitting (1). Do not loosen the clamps on the yokes. The correct slack is 5 to 8 in. (127.0 to 203.2 mm) measured between the chains and the lower guide rollers. The distance between the lower idler and the sprocket on each side of the elevator frame must be the same.If the chain adjusters are near maximum extension, retract the adjusters and remove two links from each chain. Install one offset link. Loosen fitting (1) one turn to retract adjuster.
MEASURING CHAIN ADJUSTMENT
Do not loosen either the fitting or the bleed valve more than one turn when it is necessary to retract the hydraulic adjusters.
HYDRAULIC CHAIN ADJUSTER
1. Fitting.Testing And Charging The Accumulator
7S5437 Nitrogen Charging Group.Be sure the elevator has been stopped for a minimum of five minutes. This is enough time to let the piston push the oil out of the accumulator. The piston must be on the bottom of the cylinder to be sure that the pressure of the nitrogen charge is correct. The accumulator (1), in an oil line to the elevator hydraulic motor, has a charge of approximately
