Note: The surface of the seal outside diameter and the counterbore in the equalizer bar should be clean, dry, free from grease, oil, and loosely adhering contaminants. Never clean the surfaces with gasoline, naphtha, or other solvents which leave a film after drying.
Make sure that the sealing surfaces of the seals and of the equalizer bar are smooth and clean.
Use Tooling (A) to install one retaining ring in the end of the equalizer bar.

Use Tooling (B) to install the bearing for the equalizer bar end pin. Press the bearing until the bearing makes contact with the retaining ring. The bearing must be started square with the bore before pressure is applied with Tooling (B) .

Install retaining ring (5) in the equalizer bar.

After cleaning the surfaces, apply Tooling (E) on either the metal surface of seals (4) or the mating surface. Tooling (E) will leave behind a catalyst. This will decrease the amount of time that is needed for the sealant to cure. For faster curing, Tooling (E) can be applied to both surfaces. Allow one to two minutes for Tooling (E) to dry prior to applying Tooling (D) . The maximum storage life of Tooling (E) is 12 months.Note: Assemble seals (4) with the part number toward the outside of the equalizer bar.
After Tooling (E) is dry, apply Tooling (D) to the outside surface of seals (4) . Use Tooling (C) to install seals (5) in the equalizer bar.Note: Assemble the seals with the part number toward the outside of the equalizer bar.
Repeat steps 2 through 7 for the other end of the equalizer bar.

Put center bearing (2) in position. Start center bearing (2) square in the equalizer bar.
Install two bearings (2) . Install the bearings level to the front surface of the equalizer bar.
