The backup alarm is on the rear of the machine.In order to test the alarm for proper functioning, turn the engine start switch to the ON position.Apply the service brake. Release the parking brake. Move the transmission gear selector to the REVERSE position.The backup alarm should start to sound immediately. The backup alarm will continue to sound until the transmission gear selector is moved to the NEUTRAL position or to the FORWARD position.

A three-position toggle switch for regulating the volume of the alarm is located on the rear of the alarm behind a red plastic cap. Remove the plastic cap for access to the switch. To adjust the volume level, move the three-position toggle switch to the desired position. The three positions on the switch are high, low, and medium. The three-position switch is set to the HIGH setting when the machine is shipped from the factory. The switch should remain at the HIGH setting unless the job site requires a lower volume level.
