HARNESS AS-CHASSIS 3637625 - Caterpillar

1. Remove two bolts (1) and the washers from exhaust diverter valve assembly (4).2. Disconnect three hoses (2) from the exhaust diverter valve assembly (4). Cap and plug all openings immediately.3. Disconnect electrical connection (3).4. Remove exhaust diverter valve assembly (4) from the machine. For installation of the exhaust diverter valve assembly, reverse the steps for removal.Disassemble & Assemble Exhaust Diverter Valve
Start By:a. remove exhaust diverter valve 1. Remove two bolts (1), the washers and the nuts.2. Remove bracket (2). 3. Remove hose assembly (3) by disconnecting at manifold (5) and valve assembly (4). 4. Remove O-ring seal (6) from hose assembly (3). 5. Remove valve assembly (4) from the exhaust diverter valve. 6. Remove two fittings (7) from valve assembly (4). 7. Remove plug (8), filter (9), spring (10) and valve (13) from valve assembly (4).8. Remove plug (19), seat (17), spring (16) and valve (15) from valve assembly 99. Remove O-ring seal (11) and O-ring seal (12) from valve (13).10. Remove O-ring seal (18) from plug (19). 11. Remove fitting (20) from manifold (5). 12. Remove O-ring seal (21) from fitting (20). 13. Remove nut (24) and solenoid (23).14. Remove cartridge (22) from manifold (5). 15. Remove three O-ring seals (25) from cartridge (22). 16. Remove plug (26) from manifold (5). 17. Remove O-ring seal (27) from plug (26). 18. Remove connector (28) from manifold (5). 19. Remove valve (29) from connector (28).20. Remove O-ring seal (30) from connector (28). The following steps are for the assembly of the exhaust diverter valve. Inspect all parts for wear or damage, replace with new parts if necessary. 21. Install valve (29) in connector (28).22. Install O-ring seal (30) on connector (28). 23. Install connector (28) in manifold (5). 24. Install O-ring seal (27) on plug (26). 25. Install plug (26) in manifold (5). 26. Install three O-ring seals (25) on cartridge (22). 27. Install cartridge (22) in manifold and tighten to a torque of 50 5 N m (37 4 lb ft).28. Install solenoid (23) and nut (24). Tighten nut (24) to a torque of 20 2.5 N m (15 2 lb ft). 29. Install O-ring seal (21) on fitting (20). 30. Install fitting (20) in manifold (5). 31. Install O-ring seal (18) on plug (19).32. Install filter (9) in plug (8).33. Install O-ring seal (11) and (12) on valve (13).34. Install valve (13), spring (10) and plug (8) in valve assembly (4).35. Install valve (15), spring (16), seat (17) and plug (19) in valve assembly (4). 36. Apply 5P-3413 Pipe Sealant to the threads of fitting (7).37. Install fitting (7) in valve assembly (4). 38. Apply 5P-3413 Pipe Sealant to the threads of valve assembly (4).39. Install valve assembly (4). 40. Install O-ring seal (6) on hose assembly (3). 41. Install hose assembly (3). 42. Put bracket (2) in position on the exhaust diverter valve assembly and install two bolts (1), the washers and the nuts.End By:a. install exhaust diverter valve
