HARNESS ASSEMBLY-ENGINE 3645132 - Caterpillar

Note: Check the O-ring seals, the gaskets, and the seals for wear or for damage. Replace the components, if necessary.
Care must be taken to ensure that fluids are contained during performance of inspection, maintenance, testing, adjusting and repair of the product. Be prepared to collect the fluid with suitable containers before opening any compartment or disassembling any component containing fluids.Refer to Special Publication, NENG2500, "Caterpillar Tools and Shop Products Guide" for tools and supplies suitable to collect and contain fluids on Caterpillar products.Dispose of all fluids according to local regulations and mandates.

Carefully install hydraulic fan motor (17) .
Install bolts (18) and the washers.
Connect tube assemblies (19), (20), and (21) to hydraulic fan motor (17) .

Install bolts (16), the washers, and the clips.

Use a suitable hoist and lifting slings in order to turn over the fan guard.

Install deflector (13) .
Install adapter (15) .
Install nut (14) and the washer.

Carefully install fan blade (12) .
Install bolts (11) and the washers.

Install hose assembly (9) .
Install grommet (10) .

Carefully install fan shroud (8) .
Install bolts (7), the washers, and the clamps. Repeat this procedure for the opposite side.

Install bolts (6) and the washers.

Attach a suitable lifting device and lifting slings to Tooling (A) .
Carefully install the fan and the fan guard.

Install bolts (5) and the washers.

Install the radiator top tank. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Radiator Top Tank - Remove and Install".
Install the engine compartment shield. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Engine Compartment Shield - Remove and Install".
