Start By:a. remove drum 1. Raise the machine with a floor jack and install jack stands (A) on both sides of the machine as shown. Raise the machine only enough to get the jack stands under the machine. 2. Remove two clamps (1). 3. Remove bolt (2) and lock plate (3). Remove retaining ring (4) with tool (B). Pull cylinder rod (6) away from the pivot assembly and remove spacers (7).4. Repeat Steps 3 for the other steer cylinder.5. Remove the pin from steer lock (9) and loosen bolt (8).
Failure to perform the following Step as described may result in an unbalanced load that could result in personal injury.
6. Attach a lifting device to the yoke as shown. Be sure to use the exact lift points as shown for proper balance. Be sure the load is evenly distributed on all four chains. Raise the hoist enough to support the yoke. Do not raise the yoke. 7. Remove bolts (10) and support collar (11) on the top and bottom of the pivot.8. Using the lifting device, raise the yoke and pivot assembly enough to move the unit away from the machine. To install yoke assembly, reverse the removal steps.End By:a. install drum
