Check the condition of all O-ring seals and of all parts. If any components are worn or damaged, use new parts for replacement. 1. Remove two bolts (1) and the washers. Install Tooling (B) on the suspension cylinder. Attach a hoist and a suitable lifting slings to Tooling (B), as shown.2. Position the suspension cylinder under the front frame, as shown. The weight of the suspension cylinder is 145 kg (320 lb). 3. Raise the suspension cylinder into position. Apply 5P-3931 Anti-Seize Compound to the upper pin prior to assembly. Install the upper pin. Lower the hoist to fully extend the suspension cylinder. 4. Install bolt (2), the nut and the four washers. 5. Position a suitable jack under the front axle housing, as shown. Raise the jack to align the bores of the suspension cylinder and the front axle housing. The weight of the front axle housing and the two tire and rim assemblies is 5840 kg (12 785 lb). 6. Apply 5P-3931 Anti-Seize Compound to pin (3) prior to assembly. Install pin (3), as shown. 7. Install bolt (4), the nut and the four washers in the suspension cylinder. Connect hose assembly (5).8. Remove the jack from under the front axle housing. 9. Raise the front of the machine and remove Tooling (A). 10. Connect hose assembly (6) to the suspension cylinder.11. Put clamp (7) in position and install bolt (8). 12. Put dust cover (10) in position on the suspension cylinder and install two clamps (9). 13. Install valve (11) in both suspension cylinders. 14. Install transmission filter housing (12).15. For the right suspension cylinder installation, install the tee on park brake relief valve manifold (13). Connect the two hose assemblies to the tee.16. Charge both suspension cylinders with oil and nitrogen. Refer to Suspension Cylinder, Systems Operation, Testing and Adjusting, "Suspension Cylinder (Front) - Purge and Charge" for the machine that is being serviced. End By:a.
