The cab 437-1974 Heater Lines Gp may rub against the 290-1546 Plate on certain PL61 Pipelayers.Solution
Caterpillar is aware of this problem and is recommending the following interim corrective solution.

(A) Cross member
(B) Heater hoses
Remove the cab floor plate to access to the cab 437-1974 Heater Lines Gp (B).Note: Inspect hoses for leaks in the area of contact with 290-1546 Plate (A).
If hoses have been damaged against the 290-1546 Plate (A), replace 437-1974 Heater Lines Gp (B) with the same part number.

(1) 130-2531 Bracket As

For the Left Hand side heater hose, install 437-1974 Heater Lines Gp (B) by using one 130-2531 Bracket As (1) , one 8T-4137 Bolt (2), one 8T-4121 Hard Washer (3), one 8T-4136 Bolt (4), and one 4S-1962 Clip (5).Note: Both 130-2531 Bracket As need to be installed using two threaded holes drilled on the chassis horizontal beam.

For the Right Hand side heater hose, install 437-1974 Heater Lines Gp (B) underneath the battery cable, by using one 130-2531 Bracket As (1) , one 8T-4137 Bolt (2), one 8T-4121 Hard Washer (3), one 8T-4136 Bolt (4), one 6V-1228 Clip (6), two 204-2281 Cable Strap (7) and one 200-6345 Mount (8).
