Verify that all of the components of the axle shaft are clean and free of foreign material prior to installation.
Inspect all components for wear and replace the components, if necessary.

If necessary, install clamp (6) to axle shaft (5). Note: Clamp (6) must be positioned 1059 5 mm (41.69 0.2 inch) from the outboard end of axle shaft (5).
Apply Tooling (E) to the threads of socket head bolts (7). Install two socket head bolts (7) that hold clamp (6) to axle shaft (5).
