Care must be taken to ensure that fluids are contained during performance of inspection, maintenance, testing, adjusting, and repair of the product. Be prepared to collect the fluid with suitable containers before opening any compartment or disassembling any component containing fluids.Refer to Special Publication, NENG2500, "Dealer Service Tool Catalog" for tools and supplies suitable to collect and contain fluids on Cat® products.Dispose of all fluids according to local regulations and mandates.
Keep all parts clean from contaminants.Contaminants may cause rapid wear and shortened component life.
Turn the fuel supply to the OFF position.

Remove nut (1) and stud (2).

Disconnect hose assembly (5), tube assembly (4), and adapter assembly (3).

Remove nut (9), stud (8), bolts (6), and fuel transfer pump (7).

Remove adapter (10) and adapter (11).Installation Procedure
Install fuel transfer pump (7) in the reverse order of removal.
Tighten bolts (6) to a torque of 30 4 N m (266 35 lb in).
Tighten stud (8) and stud (2) to a torque of 30 4 N m (266 35 lb in).
