ACTION REQUIRED
1. Remove 360-8878 Hoses from 360-8943 Check Valves. Refer to Image1.
2. Remove four bolts and 360-8941 Plate from engine.
3. Remove 360-8943 Check Valves from plate. Install check valves on new 457-3427 Plate.
Note: If performing rework AFTER failure, do not re-use the existing check valves.
4. Install two new 360-8943 Check Valves. Refer to Image2.
5. Clean the surface on the cylinder head so that surface is free from the old sealant. Ensure that no dirt falls into the inlet manifold. Apply a 3-4 mm diameter bead of Loctite 5900 around the hole of the cylinder head.
6. Install 457-3427 Plate on cylinder head with four bolts.
7. Install 457-3702 Plate on top of check valves.
8. Connect air hoses to check valves.
9. Install 8T-3844 Bolt and 9X-8256 Washer to fix upper plate to lower plate.
10. Apply Loctite 270 to the bolt and tighten the bolt to a specified torque of 8 +/- 1 N.m (71 +/- 9 in lb).
