Be prepared to collect the fluid with suitable containers before opening any compartment or disassembling any component containing fluids.Refer to Special Publication, NENG2500, "Cat Dealer Service Tool Catalog" or refer to Special Publication, PECJ0003, "Cat Shop Supplies and Tools Catalog" for tools and supplies suitable to collect and contain fluids on Cat products.Dispose of all fluids according to local regulations and mandates.

Disconnect the harness assembly.
Remove the bolt and the sensor.
Remove the O-ring seal from the sensor. Procedure for Cleaning and Inspecting
Check the condition of the plastic end of the sensor for wear and for contaminants. Clean the metal shavings and other debris from the face of the sensor.Installation Procedure
Install a new O-ring seal on the sensor. Lubricate the O-ring seal with clean engine oil.
Position the sensor in the housing and install the bolt.
