Improved Duo-Cone seal installer with latching mechanism.The new installers can be used to service Duo-Cone seals that range from 171.7 to 394.5 mm (6.76 to 15.52") in diameter. Note from the chart that several of the new seal installers have the same seal ring diameter but different ramp angles. Because the new installers conform to both the seal ring and toric, it was necessary to replace the former seven different installers with fourteen improved installers. The chart that follows lists the new and former seal installers along with the seal ring diameter and ramp angle which dictate installer selection. A Special Instruction packaged with each new Duo-Cone seal assembly identifies the correct installer to be used with that seal assembly.
