Assemble insulation (2) to hose (1). A suitable lubricant should be applied to the outside of hose (1) in order to reduce friction between insulation (2) and hose (1). Use only P-80 THIX. Silicone grease can be used as an alternative. Ensure that 20 mm (0.787 inch) of hose (2) is protruding from insulation (2) on the end that is cut out for the connection to the breather on the valve cover.

Breather hose (1) with insulation (2) installed and with breather hose (1) secured at the top and the center locations.
Secure breather hose (1) with tie strap (10) to the hole in the ECM bracket. This is the hole that was from the removal of nut (K), bolt (J), and clip (M) in Step 3. Make sure that breather hose (1) is held securely and does not make contact with any wiring. The securing of breather hose (1) at this center section must prevent any heavy contact between breather hose (1) and the engine access side panel. light contact between breather hose (1) and the engine access side panel may not be avoidable in some instances.

Lay the outlet end of breather hose (1) down the side of the machine chassis so that breather hose (1) can be positioned between ground cable (U) and boss (T). Boss (T) is located on the front hydraulic valve. Secure hose (1) to boss (T) with tie strap (10). Tighten tie strap (10) so that hose (1) is retained against the machine chassis.
