 Solenoid Override
Illustration 2 is an example of the Solenoid Override Status screen on Cat ET. The solenoids and relays that are listed in the illustration can be overridden with Cat ET. For more information on overriding a particular solenoid refer to Systems Operation, "Solenoid Valves". For more information on overriding a particular relay refer to Systems Operation, "Relays".

Typical Solenoid Override Status ScreenEvent Codes for the Power Train ECM
The following table lists the event codes that apply to the power train system. The recommended response is listed. Use Cat® ET to determine the event codes that are active or logged.
Table 3
Event Codes for the Power Train ECMs (MID 27)
Event Code (Level)     Description     Possible Cause and Recommended action
E43 (1)     Low System Voltage Warning     Event is activated if system voltage drops below the following specified voltages while the engine running:
Drops below 24.8V for more than 15s then a level 1 event is activated.
Drops below 23V for more than 15s then a level 3 event is activated.
Must be greater than 24.8V but less than 29.5 for at least 2s either active event to deactivate.
Check for the following conditions:
(1) Battery is not holding the charge
Check connections on the battery for corrosion.
Perform a battery load test, replace the battery if necessary.
(2) Alternator is not charging
Check alternator belt for proper charging.
(3) Excessive and extended electrical usage without engine running
Minimize electrical usage without engine running.
Refer to Special Instruction, REHS0354, "Charging System Troubleshooting".
E50     High System Voltage Warning     Event is activated if system voltage exceeds the following specified voltages while the engine running:
Exceeds 29.5V for more than 15s then a level 1 event is activated.
Exceeds 32V for more than 15s then a level 3 event is activated.
Must be greater than 24.8V but less than 29.5 for at least 2s either active event to deactivate.
Refer to Special Instruction, REHS0354, "Charging System Troubleshooting".
E275     Engine #2 (Slave) Not Running     Front engine is running but the rear engine is not running. The rear engine will need to be started before operating the machine to reset the event.
Park the machine in a convenient location and start the rear engine.
E276     Engine #1 (Master) Not Running     The rear engine is running but the front engine is not running. The front engine will need to be started before operating the machine to reset the event.
Park the machine in a convenient location and start the front engine.
E392 (1)     Downshift Suspended     This warning event activates when the operator attempts a downshift that could result in an engine overspeed. Event is regularly accompanied by a 718-11 (Transmission System - Other Failure Mode) fault code.
The Transmission Output Speed sensor signal is the mechanism that is used to prevent overspeed conditions of the engine. The Transmission ECM first checks the difference in the actual engine speed and the calculated engine speed according to the measured transmission output speed. If that difference is at a
