Grade 4/0 Emery Polishing Paper is also preferred to clean transmission plates that contact discs made of F37 Clutch Friction Material. Grade 2/0 was formerly recommended for this application and grades 2/0 or 3/0 can be used if desired. Do not clean the entire transmission plate. Remove only the high area of a scratch or a burr.
