Remove the clean emissions module.

Disconnect temperature sensor (1).

Attach a suitable lifting device to the catalyst. The weight of the catalyst is approximately 50 kg (110 lb). Remove clamp (2) and nuts (3). Remove the catalyst.

Remove clamp (4) and remove clamp (5).
Remove clamps (6) from catalyst (7). Installation Procedure
Install catalyst (7) in the reverse order of removal.
Tighten clamp (5) to a torque of 55 8 N m (41 6 lb ft).
Tighten clamp (4) to a torque of 20 4 N m (177 35 lb in).
Tighten nuts (3) to a torque of 15 3 N m (133 27 lb in). Maintain a minimum gap of 4 mm (0.15 inch) with strap tightened.
Tighten clamp (2) to a torque of 35 2 N m (26 1.5 lb ft).
Apply Tooling (A) to the threads of sensor (1). Tighten sensor (1) to a torque of 45 5 N m (33 4 lb ft).
