Reports have been received that the cab with the ROPS or FOPS cracks on the machines listed above.Solution
Do not operate or work on this product unless you have read and understood the instruction and warnings in the relevant Operation and Maintenance Manuals and relevant service literature. Failure to follow the instructions or heed the warnings could result in injury or death. Proper care is your responsibility.
In the event of failure, follow the instructions given below:

Inspect the canopy to determine if the cracks match locations identified as shown in the Illustration 1 and Illustration 2.
If crack or cracks are found that do not match the above pictures or additional damage is found to the canopy, Stop and submit the information with the pictures to Dealer Solution Network (DSN).
If crack or cracks match the pictures continue with the following instructions.
Take pictures of crack or cracks before repair.
To maintain the ROPS or FOPS certification you must submit a CPI feedback attaching the pictures that are taken.Note: If crack or cracks are not visible, remove the paint from area before taking picture.
Use Special Instruction , SEHS6929 to complete the weld repair for the crack or cracks.

After the weld repair, take pictures of repaired area before painting as shown in the Illustration 3, Illustration 4, and Illustration 5.
Paint the repaired weld area to prevent rust.Procedure to Submit CPI Feedback

Go to the Service Information Management System (SIMSi) home page using the link given below:https://sims.cat.com/sims/simsi/index.jsp
The red lines highlighted in the Illustration 6 indicates the steps to be followed in order to submit the CPI feedback.
Select the "CPI Reports" tab.
Select the "CPI Feedback" option in the left pane.
Enter the CPI number in the space provided.
Enter the machine serial number in the space provided.
Add your feedback, if any in the space provided.
Attach the pictures taken before and after repair by using "choose file" option.
Select the "Problem Investigation/gathering customer information"check box.
Select the "Submit to CPI Issue/Project" option.
