Right tow point manifold (1) is mounted to the front bulkhead on the right side of the machine. The front side cover provides access to the right tow point manifold. The left tow point manifold (not shown) is mounted on the left side of the machine in the same relative position.The tow point manifolds contain four ports. Each port is identified with a letter which is stamped into the block next to the port. Each tow point manifold is equipped with four solenoids.The switches for right tow point control operate solenoid (4) for right tow point increase and solenoid (8) for right tow point decrease. The switches for left tow point control operate the solenoid for left tow point increase and the solenoid for left tow point decrease.The active control switch for the hopper operates the left hopper lift solenoid and the active switch operates the right hopper lift solenoid. Also, the active control switch for the hopper operates the left hopper lower solenoid and the active switch operates the right hopper lower solenoid.The solenoid can be identified by the wiring. The wire numbers are listed in the following way:
A855-GY wire (left hopper open solenoid)
A861-BR wire (left hopper close solenoid)
A859-PU wire (right hopper open solenoid (2) )
A860-BU wire (right hopper close solenoid (5) )
K793-BU wire (solenoid for left tow point increase)
K792-GN (solenoid for left tow point decrease)
K795-BR (solenoid (4) for right tow point increase)
K794-YL wire (solenoid (8) for right tow point decrease)Pressure tap (3) for grade control can be used in order to measure supply pressure to solenoid (4) for right tow point increase. Also, pressure tap (3) for grade control can be used in order to measure supply pressure to solenoid (8) for right tow point decrease.The tow point manifold is equipped with two counterbalance valves (6). Only one is shown. The counterbalance valves prevent the lifting or lowering of the tow point unless the appropriate solenoid is energized. The counterbalance valves are set at 13100 kPa (1900 psi).Pressure reducing valve (7) limits the supply pressure to solenoid (4) for the right tow point increase and solenoid (8) for right tow point decrease. The pressure reducing valve is set at 7000 kPa (1000 psi).Auxiliary pressure tap (9) can be used in order to measure supply pressure from the auxiliary pump.
