This switch engages the rotor when the switch is pushed forward.This switch disengages the rotor when the switch is pulled backward.In order to engage the rotor, the following conditions must be met:
This switch must be set to OFF before starting the engine.
This switch must be reset when the switch is in the ON position and the engine has started. The rotor will NOT engage until this switch is reset. In order to reset the switch, the switch must first be turned OFF before the switch is again turned ON. The instrument panel will illuminate a operator error message, if the switch is not reset.
The engine speed (1100 rpm) must be at idle in order to engage the rotor. In order to shift the rotor, you must be in IDLE position.
The rotor speed switch must be set at 115 rpm in order to start the rotor.
After the rotor is engaged, set the governor control. The governor control should be at maximum setting before cutting.Note: Never engage the rotor while the rotor is in the ground.
