HARNESS AS-CHASSIS 5357227 - Caterpillar

1. Disconnect breather tube (3) and remove breather (2).2. Unscrew spark plug wires (1) and remove rubber cups (4). 3. Remove bolts (6) and remove valve cover (5). 4. Make an inspection of valve cover gasket (7). Install the valve cover using the reverse procedures of Steps 1 through 4. Use the following tightening sequence to tighten bolts (6). 5. Use the tightening sequence above to tighten the bolts on the 3408 Generator Sets to a torque of 14 4 N m (10 3 lb.ft.). 6. Use the tightening sequence above to tighten the bolts on the 3412 Generator Sets to a torque of 14 4 N m (10 3 lb.ft.).
