Information:
Basic Operation
Define the profile. You can have up to 7 points in a profile. In order to enter the X, Z coordinates of each point use the "Profile - Edit" menu. The X, Z coordinates need to be calculated from the benchmark point as shown in Illustration 1.

Profile Mode
Set the operating mode to Profile Mode.
Press and hold the "Reset system" button for 2 seconds in order to clear any stored benchmark and laser information.
Benchmark the bucket at Point 1.
Dig.X, Z Coordinate Calculation
When defining a profile, remember that all calculations need to be made from the benchmark point. In order to calculate the X coordinate you need to calculate the horizontal distance from the benchmark point. A negative value is used if the horizontal distance is out from the machine. A positive value is used if the horizontal distance is in towards the machine. In order to calculate the Z coordinate you need to calculate the depth or vertical distance from the benchmark point. A negative value is used if the vertical distance is below the benchmark. A positive value is used if the vertical distance is above the benchmark.

The rough coordinates for Illustration 2 are:
Point 1 (0.00,0.00)
Point 2 (-1.00,0.00)
Point 3 (-1.20,-0.30)
Point 4 (-2.00,-0.30)
Point 5 (-2.20,0.00)
Point 6 (-08.00,-01.00)
Point 7 (-09.00,-00.00)Benching in Profile Mode
In order to make sure that the machine is excavating to the correct elevation, the machine must be benched over a point with known elevation. This point is known as a benchmark.Note: In order to achieve the best results from the system, bench the machine with the bucket teeth in the normal working position. When the system is first started in Profile Mode, before the benching procedure has occurred, the display will show dashes (--.--) in the Depth to Grade and Actual Elevation fields. In order to bench the system in Profile Mode, perform the following procedure.
Place the bucket tip at Point 1 of the profile.Make sure that the benchmark is not moved.
Press the "Benchmark" button.
