Information:

FLOW CONTROL AND RELIEF VALVE
1. Plug. 2. Shims.
After the correct relief valve setting is obtained, remove the two 5M9622 Spacers to lower the cutout setting to the correct setting. Recheck the cutout setting again to be certain the setting is correct.
Adjusting Leveling Valve Linkage
1. With the engine shut off and the load cylinder retracted, mark the load cylinder rod at the cylinder.2. With the linkage (2) connected, adjust the linkage to obtain reference dimension (B).
LEVELING VALVE AND LOAD CYLINDER (Typical Example)
1. Leveling valve. 2. Linkage. A. Extension of load cylinder rod in CUSHION RIDE position. B. Reference dimension between centers of linkage. 3. Start the engine. Shift the selector valve to CUSHION RIDE. When the travel of the load cylinder rod stops (level position), the distance from the mark on the rod to top of cylinder must be equal to dimension (A).
Do not put hands or feet in the cushion-hitch area.
4. Use a straight long wire. Bend one end of the wire at a right angle so the distance from the bend to the end of the wire measures the same as the extension (A) of the load cylinder. Insert this end of the wire within the hitch to measure the extension of the load cylinder rod, (the distance from the top of the cylinder to the mark).5. If the extension is not within tolerances, proceed as follows:6. Shut off the engine. Wait five minutes for the oil in the accumulator to bleed. Lengthen linkage (2) to increase the rod extension dimension; shorten the linkage to decrease the extension dimension. Do not remove the linkage for adjustment.7. Repeat Steps 3, 4, 5 and 6 until the correct extension is obtained.Testing and Charging the Accumulator
7S5437 Nitrogen Charging Group
Dry nitrogen is the only gas approved for use in the accumulator. The accidental charging of oxygen gas into an accumulator will cause an explosion. The danger can be eliminated by using only nitrogen cylinders with standard CGA (Compressed Gas Association, Inc.) No. 580 Connections. When ordering nitrogen gas be sure to specify that the cylinders be equipped with CGA No. 580 Connections. Do not rely on color coding or other methods of identification to distinguish between nitrogen and oxygen cylinders. In any application, never use an adapter to connect your nitrogen charging apparatus to a valve outlet used interchangeably on nitrogen, oxygen or other gas cylinders. Be certain you are using dry nitrogen.
NITROGEN CHARGING GROUP (Assembled and Connected to a Cylinder of Nitrogen)
1. Pressure gauge. 2. Nitrogen cylinder valve. 3. Regulator assembly. 4. Valve. 5. Pressure gauge. 6. Pressure regulating screw. 7. Valve handle. 8. Chuck.
PARTS FROM THE NITROGEN CHARGING GROUP
4. Valve. 5. Pressure gauge. 7. Valve handle. 8. Chuck.Be certain the engine has been shut off for at least five minutes to allow the accumulator oil to bleed. An accurate precharge reading cannot be accomplished unless the accumulator piston is bottomed. Gas pressure is dependent on temperature. The machine must be at ambient temperature to check and charge the accumulator.
