Disconnect harness assembly (23). Remove bolt (21). Remove crankshaft position sensor (22).

Use a suitable lifting device to support angle supports (25). Remove bolts (24) and remove angle supports (25). The approximate weight of the angle support is 238.0 kg (525.00 lb).

Attach Tooling (A) and a suitable lifting device onto flywheel housing (26). The weight of flywheel housing (26) is approximately 726 kg (1600 lb). Apply slight lifting tension on flywheel housing (26).
Remove bolts (27) that connect the oil pan to flywheel housing (26).

Remove bolts (28). Remove flywheel housing (26).Installation Procedure

Attach Tooling (A) and a suitable lifting device onto flywheel housing (26). The weight of flywheel housing (26) is approximately 726 kg (1600 lb). Apply Tooling (B) to the mating surface of flywheel housing (26). Position flywheel housing (26). Install bolts (28).

Install bolts (27) that connect the oil pan to flywheel housing (26).

Install the gasket seal and cover (19). Install three bolts (17) and bolt (20). Connect harness assembly (18).

Rotate the engine so that the number one piston is at top dead center on the compression stroke. Refer to Testing and Adjusting, "Finding Top Center Position for No. 1 Piston".
Install cam gear (16). Install bolts (15).

Install cover (14). Install bolts (13). Install cover (12). Install bolts (11).

Install lift eye (5). Install elbows (3) and (4). Position turbocharger mounts (1). Install bolts (2). Install bracket (8) and bolts (6).
Install tube assemblies (7) and (9). Connect harness assemblies (10).
Install sections of the heat shield removed to gain access to components.End By:
Install the air shutoffs.
Install the starters.
Install the aftercooler.
Install the turbocharger.
Install the exhaust elbow.
Install the crankshaft rear seal.
Install the flywheel.
