HARNESS 7R0368 - Caterpillar

1. Remove bolts (4) and cap (3) from the cylinder rod.2. Remove insert (1) and shims (2) from the cap.3. With the use of the machine's hydraulics, move the cylinder rod free of the ballstud.4. Remove insert (1) and shims (2) from socket of the cylinder rod.Install Ball And Socket Joints (Later)
1. Remove all foreign material from the ball and socket. 2. Put 5P960 Multipurpose Type Grease on the inside surfaces of inserts (2).3. Put inserts (2) in the socket of the cylinder rod and cap.4. Install the cylinder rod and cap (3) on the ballstud without shims. Tighten the bolts until the ball is against both of the inserts.5. Use a feeler gauge to measure the distance between the cap and the socket on the cylinder rod at the center position between the bolts.6. Remove cap (3).7. Install the cap with shims (1) of thickness the same as the measurement plus .003 - .008 in. (0.08 - 0.20 mm).8. Install and tighten the bolts.
