Adaptable To: The new 160-4813 Window Kit supersedes the 121-9748 and 121-9750 Spring Assemblies in the 8Y-7256 and 8Y-7255 Rear Window Assemblies. The 160-4813 Window Kit is adaptable to any machine using the 121-9748 and 121-9750 Spring Assemblies. The 160-4813 Window Kits became effective in production with the serial numbers listed in Chart 1. The installation instructions are below. The 160-4813 Window Kit Installation Instructions.

Line (A) in Illustration 1 represents the position of the glass when it is opened completely.2. There is one catch each for the left side and the right side of the frame. Pick 157-4302 Left Hand Catch to install. Place the catch on the left side of the frame in the locked position. The arrows on the catch assembly show the locked and unlocked positions. The catch is shown in Illustration 1 in the locked position.3. Position rubber buffer (B) 5 mm below open panel frame position (A) as indicated at (C). Refer to Illustration 1.4. Mark the two catch assembly rivet holes' positions,(D), onto window frame (E).5. Drill two 6.8 mm (.268 in) diameter holes into the window frame at the two positions marked in Step 3.6. Rivet the catch into position using the two rivets supplied in the kit.7. Repeat Steps Two through Five on the other side of the window frame to install 157-4301 Right Hand Catch.8. Remove the old spring assemblies and install the new spring assemblies.
