HARNESS ASSEMBLY 9S9608 - Caterpillar

1. Remove cover (6) and clutch rod (8).2. Remove floor plates (9), (10) and (11).3. Disconnect clutch rod linkage (5).4. Disconnect governor control rod (7).5. Remove rod (2) for the reverse lock control.6. Remove linkage (4).7. Move the lever for the load brake to the rear until pins (1) can be removed.8. Remove rods (3). 9. Remove ring (15) and bellcrank (16).10. Fasten a hoist and tool (A) to center frame (13).11. Remove bolts (12) and nuts from the right side of the center frame. Remove four bolts (14) and nuts from the left side of the center frame.12. Remove center frame (13) and shims from the left side of the center frame. Weight of the center frame is 425 lb. (192.8 kg).Install Center Frame
1. Fasten a hoist and tool (A) to the center frame. 2. Put the center frame and shims (1) in position on the machine and install the bolts that hold it.3. Install bellcrank (2) and the ring that holds it in position. 4. Put rods (3) in position and install the pins (4) that hold them.5. Install rod (5) for the reverse lock control.6. Install linkage (6).7. Connect clutch rod linkage (7).8. Connect governor control rod (9).9. Install clutch rod (8) and cover (12).10. Install floor plates (10), (11) and (13).
