Removal Procedure
Care must be taken to ensure that fluids are contained during performance of inspection, maintenance, testing, adjusting and repair of the product. Be prepared to collect the fluid with suitable containers before opening any compartment or disassembling any component containing fluids.Refer to Special Publication, NENG2500, "Caterpillar Tools and Shop Products Guide" for tools and supplies suitable to collect and contain fluids on Caterpillar products.Dispose of all fluids according to local regulations and mandates.
High hydraulic system pressure. To avoid personal injury, do not remove any hydraulic system lines, taps, or parts until all pressure has been relieved.
Lower the lift arms to the ground.
Release hydraulic pressure from the system. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Hydraulic System Pressure - Release".
Drain the oil from the hydraulic tank.

Remove bolts (1) from cover (2). Remove cover (2) .Note: Plug and cap all lines, all hoses and all tubes. This will help to prevent fluid loss and this will help to keep contaminants from entering the system.

Remove tube assemblies (3), (4), and (5) from the front of the bank valve.
Remove tube assemblies (6) and extensions (7) from the top of the bank valve.

Remove hose assemblies (8) from the bank valve.

Remove the remaining hose assemblies (9) from the bank valve.

Remove nut (10) and the tube assembly from the front of the bank valve.

Remove nut (11) and the tube assembly from the rear of the bank valve.

Remove bolts (12) that hold the rear of the bank valve.

Remove bolts (13) from the bottom of the bank valve. Remove the bank valve. The weight of the bank valve is approximately 19 kg (40 lb).
