Removal Procedure

Support the transfer gear (1) with a suitable floor jack and cribbing. Secure the transfer gear to the floor jack with a suitable sling. Install two bolts (5) and the washers into the mounting holes on the right side of the transfer gear.

Install the transfer gear from the side of the machine. Use a second person to steady transfer gear (1) while you carefully raise the transfer gear into the mounting brackets.

Apply a small amount of 9S-3263 Thread Lock Compound to two bolts (3). Install two bolts (3), the washers and the nuts in order to secure the left side of transfer gear (1).

Slide two bolts (5) forward. Apply a small amount of 9S-3263 Thread Lock Compound to two bolts (5). Install two nuts (4) and the washers in order to secure the right side of transfer gear (1).

Install two bolts (2) and the washers in order to secure the two hose clips. End By:
Connect the drive shafts to the transfer gear. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Drive Shaft - Remove and Install".
Install the dust guard. Refer to Machine Systems, Disassembly and Assembly, RENR3437, "Dust Guard - Remove and Install".
