Height from field    Description    
Benching     Machine has been benched. Heights are in terms of the benchmark the machine was benched over.    
ATS     Machine has not been benched. Heights are in terms of the height of the ATS Instrument. ATS setup must have station elevation and instrument height entered.    
No Height     Machine has not been benched. No height information entered during ATS setup.    To bench the Machine Target, complete the following steps:
From any guidance screen, press the "Menu" Key (11) .The "Setup Menu - Configuration" Screen appears.

Use the arrow keys in order to scroll to "Bench". Press the "OK" key.A screen that is similar to Illustration 5 will appear on the Display,

Make sure that the mast is vertical. Press "OK".A screen that is similar to Illustration 6 will appear on the Display,
Follow the instructions on the Display.Refer to Step 4.a through Step 4.e.

"Press the Bench Left" or "Bench Right" in order to bench the ATS.The Display will show a Warning telling you to make sure that your mast is vertical. Refer to Illustration 8,Note: You only need to bench one blade tip.The "Bench ATS" dialog appears.

Press "OK" in order to continue.The "Benching" message appears. Refer to Illustration 9.
Position the leveled blade beside the benchmark. You can monitor the blade slope in the "Current Blade Slope" field.Note: If you turn automatic controls on, the system levels the blade for you. You do not need to have a level design loaded.
Make sure the mast is perpendicular to the wheelbase of the machine.
Enter the elevation of the benchmark into the Blade elevation field.
Press the "OK" button to begin benching.When benching finishes, the Vertical Guidance Setup dialog appears.Clear ATS Benching
If you have benched an ATS system where the ATS Instrument was set up with a known elevation, then the benched elevation of the instrument is used for position calculation, instead of the set up elevation. To clear the benched elevation, and return to using the set up elevation, complete the following steps:
From any guidance screen, press the "Menu" Key (11) .The "Setup Menu - Configuration" Screen appears.

Press the "Clear Bench" Soft Key.Note: If the ATS Instrument did not have an initial elevation, clearing the benching data stops guidance.Reacquire ATS Lock
If the ATS loses lock on the Machine Target while you are working, the "No ATS Data" message flashes on the guidance screen. Complete the following steps to reacquire lock:
