Introduction
This Special Instruction provides installation procedure for Ethernet Adapter for VIMS on certain Cat products.Important Safety Information

PL52x 435-7838 Adapter As installation work instruction
Perform the following steps to install the 435-7838 Adapter As.

Remove Ethernet receptacle from the PL52x Ethernet adapter.

Remove four Ethernet sockets from 70-pin connector on PL52x ECM. Pin 1 orange wire, Pin 2 white wire, Pin 14 green wire, and Pin 15 yellow wire.

Insert the four removed sockets and place into the 8-pin connector lining up the colors. Insert green wire into pin 8. Insert yellow wire into Pin 7. Insert orange wire into Pin 6. Insert white wire into Pin 5.

Ensure that sockets are fully seated.

Insert orange tab to secure sockets.

Insert sockets from Ethernet adapter harness into 70-pin connector. Pin 1 orange wire, Pin 2 white wire, Pin 14 green wire, and Pin 15 yellow wire.

Ensure that sockets are secure in 70-pin connector by checking the bottom side of the connector.

Secure the Ethernet adapter to the rest of the harness with tie straps.
