Improper greasing with the air lubricator can result in personal injury, since the engine power must be used to operate it. Unless othewise specified, use the following precautions: Lower the implements to the ground.Put the hydraulic activation control lever in locked position.Attach a "DO NOT OPERATE" or "UNDER REPAIR" tag to the control lever.
The grease viscosity will change depending on ambient temperatures. Use grease of correct viscosity which meets the ambient temperature.
1. The air lubricator is stored in the tool box and consists of grease gun (1), hose (2) [10 m (32.8 ft)] reel (3), grease pump (4) and grease container (5) [20 liter (5.3 gal)] .All of grease fittings, including the remote greasing, can be lubricated with this lubricator.2. Turn the automatic engine control switch OFF (if equipped). 3. Run the engine at idling speed and check to be sure that the air pressure gauge is registering the green range.4. Set the governor control lever to the Medium - speed position. 5. Take out the grease gun and hose from the tool box. Extend the hose until the grease gun reaches grease fitting locations. 6. To grease fittings, apply the grease gun nozzle to the fitting and pull the lever. Grease will be charged into the fitting.7. After completion of greasing, wipe grease off the nozzle and store the grease gun and hose in the tool box.The hose will be automatically reeled in together with the grease gun by the reel spring force.Changing the Grease Container
Before removing the head cover, thoroughly clean it to prevent foreign matter from adhering to the seal packing or grease pump cylinder.
1. If the grease container has been emptied, disconnect hose (6) from grease pump (4) by disconnecting the coupler.2. Prepare a new grease container. 3. Remove the two wing bolts (7) securing the grease container. 4. Holding the hooks on the head cover, remove the head cover together with the grease pump and seal packing from the grease container and remove the grease container.Then install a new grease container.
