Introduction
CAESultra tracks machine utilization information when "Utilization" is enabled.Machine utilization information is provided to give the operator and management personnel information about the utilization of a CAESultra equipped machine. CAESultra keeps track of how much time a machine has been stationary, moving, or off. If CAESultra is uncertain about whether a machine has been stationary or moving (due to inadequate GPS accuracy), "Machine Utilization" information shows the amount of time CAESultra is uncertain. The default minimum stop time is two minutes. This value is configurable.Machine Utilization Summary Screen
Machine Utilization - The "Machine Utilization" screen is opened when the "Utilization Productivity" button is selected. "Utilization" must be enabled in the machine configuration before information will update in the "Machine Utilization" screen. The "Machine Utilization" screen can also be opened from the "Productivity" menu if "Utilization" is enabled.

Use the following steps in order to open the machine utilization screen:
Open the CAESultra main menu.
Select the "Productivity" menu option. The productivity menu appears
Select "Utilization". The "Machine Utilization" screen appears.

Machine Utilization screen. The Machine Utilization screen contains the following information:On - Total time elapsed since the machine has been resetOff - Total time that the machine was offStationary - Total time the machine has been stationary since the last reset. The machine is considered to be stationary if it is stationary for longer than "$ Stationary Threshold" The default value is two minutes.Moving - Total time the machine has been moving since the last reset. The machine is considered to be moving if it moves before "$ Stationary Threshold" is exceeded. The default value is two minutes.Uncertain - Total time CAESultra was uncertain whether a machine was Stationary or Moving. CAESultra is usually uncertain when position quality is low.Forward Distance - The total distance that the machine has moved forward since the last reset. Front Shovels and Excavators do not provide this information.Reverse Distance - Total distance that the machine has moved in reverse since the last reset. Front Shovels and Excavators do not provide this information.Machine Utilization Records Written
"Machine Utilization" records are written to the productivity file when a utilization state changes, that is, when a machine changes from moving to stationary and when productivity is reset. Sometimes more than one record is written when productivity is reset.Machine Utilization Algorithm
The two tables below show the utilization categorization:
Table 1
Condition    Result
Move     A utilization record is written. The record indicates the duration of the previous state.
Receive an old position     A utilization record is written. The record indicates the duration of the previous state.
Exceed the stationary threshold without moving or receiving an old position     A utilization record is written. The record indicates the duration of the previous state.
Shutdown     A utilization record is written. The record indicates the duration of the previous state.
First state change after startup     A utilization record is written. The record indicates the duration of the off time.
