The 906 machines use the bottom hole for the Rubber Bumper. Refer to Illustration 1. The 907/908 machines use the top hole for the Rubber Bumper. Refer to Illustration 2.Installation Procedure

Remove hardware, bolts (A), and washers (B), removing the bracket from machine.

(E) Rubber Bumper
Unscrew the hardware: nuts (C), washer (D), and rubber Bumper (E) from the bracket.
Replace the bracket with new part number 480-7637.
Reassemble the bracket using the retained rubber Bumper (E) and washer (D). Replace nuts (C) with new 344-5674 Nut.
Using retained bolts (A), and washers (B), reassemble bracket to the machine.

Check that there is clearance between the exposed thread of the rubber bumper and hood when in closed position before moving to Step 7.
Ensure a gap of 2.5 2.5 mm (0.1 0.1 inch) between the door and stop, when in the door locked open position.Achieve the required gap by adjusting the rubber bumper by rotating the bumper in or out.
Once the bumper is in position, lock out using nut (C).
If the correct adjustment cannot be achieved, a nut and washer can be fitted on the other side of the bracket.
Repeat this process for the other side of the machine.
