Location of parts.Adaptable As: Direct replacement when the necessary parts are used together. The new parts can be used in all earlier machines that have planetary final drives. When the new parts are used, the recommendation is to install them in all three planets of the final drive; not in one or two planets only. If desired, the former planet gears, gear hubs and wear plates can be machined for use with the new bearings. The former parts must be in good condition, and machine work must be done carefully. It will be necessary to grind the parts to size because of the hardness. Only one diameter must be changed on each part, and the illustrations show the new dimension for each diameter. Keep the new diameter concentric (with the same center) with the other diameter(s) of each part. After the part is machined to size, grind off any sharp or rough edges or corners to a small chamfer. Thoroughly clean the parts before installation.
