This seven minute video tape explains the preferred blade performance of "sliding" a load during the carry segment of a bulldozing cycle. Track-type tractors work more productively and efficiently when they push or slide a blade load during the carry cycle rather than continuing to cut or "roll" once the blade is full. The video tape provides an excellent insight into current Caterpillar bulldozer design and operational characteristics.
