Procedure To Install Guards On D4H Tractors
In addition to the new components used in the 1U2387 and 1U2389 Angle And Tilt Cylinder Lines Groups, six 9P7849 Bosses, one 3S8606 Sleeve, and one 6V9951 Fitting (90°) are required.
1. Weld the six 9P7849 Bosses (X) in position on the top of the bulldozer C-frame as shown in Illustration 1.

Install the new 6Y2518 Plate Assembly (RH) and 6Y2519 Plate Assembly (LH) on the new bosses with six 6H1717 Bolts, and six 5P8245 Washers.3. Remove the 4T9789 Hose Assembly from the tractor.4. Remove the 45° fitting from the end of the 4T9789 Hose Assembly. Cut the hose and spiral guard so that when the new 6V9951 Fitting is installed, the hose length, between the center of the new fitting and the face of the sealing surface on the other end, will be 1100 15 mm (43.3 .6"). See Illustration 2.
Illustration 2. 4T9789 Hose Assembly with new 90° fitting.5. Install the 4T9789 Hose Assembly, with the 90° fitting connected to the tube on the bulldozer C-frame.Route the hose assembly up the right hand side of the singletree tower and then to the tilt cylinder.
Procedure To Install Guards On D5H Tractors
In addition to the new components used in the 4T1839 and 4T2156 Angle And Tilt Cylinder Lines Groups, six 9P7849 Bosses, one 3S8606 Sleeve, and one 6V9952 Fitting (90°) are required.
1. Weld the six 9P7849 Bosses (X) in position on the top of the bulldozer C-frame as shown in Illustration 3.

Install the new 6Y2518 Plate Assembly (RH) and 6Y2519 Plate Assembly (LH) on the new bosses with six 6H1717 Bolts, and six 5P8245 Washers.3. Remove the 4T2959 Hose Assembly from the tractor.4. Remove the 45° fitting from the end of the 4T2959 Hose Assembly. Cut the hose and spiral guard so that when the new 6V9952 Fitting is installed, the hose length, between the center of the new fitting and the face of the sealing surface on the other end, will be 1150 15 mm (45.3 .6"). See Illustration 4.
