The new 327-7724 Idler Axle Gp is used with the 327-7726 Wheel and Idler Gp (Steel) and with the 327-7727 Wheel and Idler Gp (Rubber).

The former idler axle group can be identified by the ribs on the hub's shaft.The new 327-7724 Idler Axle Gp, the new 327-7726 Wheel and Idler Gp (Steel), and the new 327-7727 Wheel and Idler Gp (Rubber) are available through the Caterpillar parts system.Note: For updating machines with steel idler wheels, Caterpillar recommends replacing the former 258-3030 Idler Wheel Gp (Rubber) with the new 327-7726 Wheel and Idler Gp (Steel) instead of installing steel idler wheels on the former hubs.The former 258-3031 Idler Axle Gp and the former 258-3030 Idler Wheel Gp (Rubber) have been cancelled.
