Install three O-ring seals (21) onto pipe (20) .

Position pipe (20) and air inlet cover (21) for installation.Note: Ensure that the aftercooler seal is correctly seated in the seal recess. Remove the masking tape that was used to hold the aftercooler seal to the bottom of the aftercooler core.
Install six bolts (22). Hand tighten the six bolts.
Tighten the six bolts to a torque of 24 N m (18 lb ft) in the numerical sequence, as shown.
Tighten the six bolts again in the numerical sequence to a torque of 47 N m (35 lb ft) in the numerical sequence, as shown.

Install two bolts (19) and the washers in order to install pipe (20) between the two air inlet covers.

Rotate compressor cover (17) to the correct position. Tighten clamp assembly (18) to a torque of 14 1.5 N m (10 1 lb ft). Lightly tap around clamp assembly (18). Tighten clamp assembly (18) again to a torque of 14 1.5 N m (10 1 lb ft).

Position air inlet elbow (14) and the elbow for installation. Install three bolts (16) and the washers.
Install two bolts (15), the washers, and the plates.

Position the elbow for installation. Tighten two bolts (13) .

Rotate compressor cover (12) to the correct position. Tighten clamp assembly (11) to a torque of 14 1.5 N m (10 1 lb ft). Lightly tap around clamp assembly (11). Tighten clamp assembly (11) again to a torque of 14 1.5 N m (10 1 lb ft).

Position air inlet elbow (10) and the flange for installation. Install three bolts (8) and the washers.
Install two bolts (9) and the washers.

Connect hose assembly (6) .
Install two bolts (7) and the washers.

Connect hose assembly (4) .
Install bolt (5) and the washer.

Position air tube (2) for installation. Tighten two hose clamps (3) .
Repeat Step 28 for the remaining air tube.
If necessary, repeat Step 1 through Step 29 for the remaining aftercooler.

The view is on the right side of the engine end frame under the left side of the engine.
Tighten drain plug (1). Fill the cooling system.
Refer to Operation and Maintenance, "Cooling System Coolant (ELC) - Change" for the appropriate procedure to fill the cooling system.End By: Install the mufflers. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Muffler - Install".
