Information:
Diesel engine exhaust contains products of combustion which may cause personal injury.Always start and operate the engine in a well ventilated area, and, if in an enclosed area, vent the exhaust to the outside.
Introduction
This procedure adjusts the spray pattern of the spray nozzles for the water spray system and emulsion spray system. Perform this test if the spray pattern does not fully cover the surface area of the drums or tires.
Make sure that the water and emulsion tanks contain fluid before this test is performed. Operation of the water pump or emulsion pump without fluid in the system can damage the pump.
Test Preparation
Drive the machine to a smooth, horizontal surface.

Use water spray increase switch (5) to select continuous spray. Note: Two things indicate when the water system is in continuous spray mode. First, "Water Timer Control 100%" will appear on the display. Second, seven LEDs next to water spray increase switch (5) will be illuminated.
Move propel lever (1) out of the NEUTRAL position.
Examine the spray pattern on each drum. The spray stream should hit the drum, and the water spray should cover the entire width of the drum.
Move propel lever (1) to the NEUTRAL position.
Move engine start switch (4) to the OFF position.
If the spray stream does not hit the drum, adjust the spray bar. If the spray pattern does not cover the entire width of the drum, adjust the spray nozzles. Emulsion Spray Nozzle Test Procedure
Move engine start switch (4) into the ON position. Do not start the engine.

Move emulsion switch (6) into the ON position.
Move propel lever (1) out of the NEUTRAL position.
Examine the spray pattern on the tires. The spray stream should hit the tires, and the water spray should cover the entire width of the tires.
Move propel lever (1) to the NEUTRAL position.
Move engine start switch (4) to the OFF position.
If the spray stream does not hit the tires, adjust the spray bar. If the spray pattern does not cover the entire width of the tires, adjust the spray nozzles. Spray Bar Adjustment Procedure

Typical Spray Bar
Loosen three clamps (7), and rotate spray bar (8) to attain the desired spray direction.
Tighten three clamps (7), and go to the test procedure. Spray Nozzle Adjustment Procedure
