Removal Procedure
Accidental engine starting can cause injury or death to personnel working on the equipment.To avoid accidental engine starting, disconnect the battery cable from the negative (-) battery terminal. Completely tape all metal surfaces of the disconnected battery cable end in order to prevent contact with other metal surfaces which could activate the engine electrical system.Place a Do Not Operate tag at the Start/Stop switch location to inform personnel that the equipment is being worked on.
Disconnect the battery.

Remove drive belt (4) from the engine.
Place identification marks on the harness assemblies that are connected to alternator (1) .
Disconnect the harness assemblies from alternator (1) .
Attach a suitable lifting device to fan drive mounting group (2). The weight of fan drive mounting group (2) is approximately 34 kg (75 lb).
Remove bolts (3) and bolts (5) .
Remove fan drive mounting group (2) .Installation Procedure

Attach a suitable lifting device to fan drive mounting group (2). The weight of fan drive mounting group (2) is approximately 34 kg (75 lb). Position fan drive mounting group (2) on the engine.
Install bolts (3) and bolts (5). Torque the bolts according to the following procedure. Finger tighten bolts (5). Finger tighten bolts (3). Tighten bolts (5) and bolts (3) to the standard torque.
Connect the harness assemblies to alternator (1) .
Install drive belt (4) on the engine.
Connect the battery.
