(4) Discharge port Gear pump (1) is located on the upper left of the engine flywheel housing.Gear pump (1) is powered by gearing within the flywheel housing. Power from the flywheel is transferred up through gears that connect to the shaft of gear pump (1).Gear pump (1) pulls oil from the hoist pump suction port of the hydraulic tank. The oil flows from suction port (2) through the gear pump and is sent to the hoist control valve through discharge port (4). The oil is then distributed to the hoist system.Pressure tap (3) can be used in order to test the pump output pressure.
