Removal Procedure
At operating temperature, the hydraulic tank is hot and under pressure.Hot oil and components can cause personal injury. Do not allow hot oil or components to contact skin.Remove the filler cap only when the engine is stopped, and the filler cap is cool enough to touch with your bare hand. Remove the filler cap slowly in order to relieve pressure.
Care must be taken to ensure that fluids are contained during performance of inspection, maintenance, testing, adjusting, and repair of the product. Be prepared to collect the fluid with suitable containers before opening any compartment or disassembling any component containing fluids.Refer to Special Publication, NENG2500, "Dealer Service Tool Catalog" for tools and supplies suitable to collect and contain fluids on Cat® products.Dispose of all fluids according to local regulations and mandates.
Turn the ignition key to the accessory position. DO NOT start the engine. Apply the parking brake several times in order to relieve the pressure in the brake system. Turn the ignition key to the OFF position.
Put identification marks on all lines, hoses, wires and tubes for installation purposes. Plug all lines, hoses and tubes. This helps prevent fluid loss and contamination of the oil system.

Loosen retaining nut (1) in order to disconnect tube (2) from parking brake accumulator (3). Remove nut (4) in order to remove accumulator (3) from bracket (5). Installation Procedure

Position accumulator (3) into bracket (5) and install nut (4). Connect tube (2) to accumulator (3) and tighten retaining nut (1). End By:
Purge the air from the parking brake system. Refer to Systems Operation, Testing and Adjusting, RENR3488, "Parking Brake Air - Purge".
