(4) Fill the winch and hydraulic systems with oil. See the Operation and Maintenance Guide for the correct oil. Install a 4150 kPa (600 psi) pressure gauge in clutch pressure port (23) and in disconnect pressure port (24). Start the engine and run it at approximately half throttle speed and check for leaks. Move control lever (21) toward "POWER IN" position (E) until the gauge in clutch pressure port (23) reads 2100 kPa (300 psi). Hold the control lever in this position and install 4F7957 Bolt (25) and a 1B4427 Nut in housing (6). Tighten bolt (25) until it makes contact with the lever inside the housing; tighten the nut to hold bolt (25). Again move lever (21) as far as it will go toward (E) and check the clutch pressure; if needed, adjust bolt (25) to get the 2100 kPa (300 psi) reading. Move the control to "DISCONNECT" position (F); the pressure in port (24) should be 2100 kPa (300 psi).
Do not install the winch cable until the clutch and disconnect pressures have been adjusted. Stay clear of the winch drum while the pressures are adjusted. The winch drum will turn while the POWER IN pressure is adjusted.
(5) When all adjustments are made and the oil levels and pressures are correct, install the winch wire rope cable on the drum. The winch drum will hold 58 meters (189 feet) of 13.0 mmØ (.5"Ø) cable or 38 meters (124 feet) of 16.00 mmØ (.62"Ø) cable. When installing a power-in and out winch, a 5G3938 Winch Control Group and a 5G5691 Plate Assembly (for Open ROPS only) are also needed. The following parts are not needed from either the 5G2636 or 5G4331 Winch Control Group: 5G3929 Housing Assembly and 5G3836 Cover. (1) Install 5G3848 Lever Assembly (1) in 5G3828 Housing Assembly (2) above the short cable mounting. Install 9S1354 Nut (3) and 5G3832 Nut (4) on 7G4746 Cable Assembly (5). Install 6L7751 Rod End (6) on cable (5) to dimension shown. Put cable (5) in position in housing (2), and connect rod end (6) to lever (1) with a S1615 Bolt and 4B4276 Washer. Install a 5L4719 Setscrew in housing (2) and into the groove around nut (4). Install a 6V1604 Seal (with the lip toward the outside) in 5G3834 Cover (7). Install the cover on housing (2) with 7M7260 Liquid Gasket, between the cover and the housing, and four 1S7443 Screws. On open ROPS machines only, install a 5G5691 Plate Assembly between housing (2) and cover assembly. Use two 1A5183 Bolts to fasten housing and plate assembly to cover assembly. (2) Disconnect spring (8) from plate (9). Remove the bolt that fastens plate (9) in place. Put a 1A5288 Bolt (10) and former washer through plate (9) and 1D5875 Spacer (11). Put
