Use Tooling (F) and a suitable press to remove bearing cup (14) from pinion shaft (9). The weight of pinion shaft (9) is approximately 90 kg (200 lb).

Remove lock (17). Remove bolts (18). Remove caps (19).

Attach a suitable lifting device to differential and bevel gear (20). The weight of differential and bevel gear (20) is approximately 286 kg (630 lb). Remove adjusting nuts (21). Remove bearing cups (22).

Position differential and bevel gear (20) on suitable cribbing, as shown. Remove bolts (24). Raise differential and bevel gear (20) above suitable cribbing by approximately 50 mm (2 inch). Use a suitable hammer to separate differential (23) from bevel gear (25), by striking bolts (24) with a suitable hammer. Remove differential (23) from bevel gear (25). Remove differential (23). The weight of differential (23) is approximately 285 kg (630 lb).

Attach a suitable lifting device to carrier (26). The weight of carrier (26) is approximately 217 kg (480 lb). Place the carrier on suitable cribbing. Remove bolts (27). Remove case (28).
