Move propulsion lever (1) to the NEUTRAL position.
Move rotor raise switch (2) to the RAISE position. Release the switch when the rotor is fully up.

Move hood tilt switch (3) to the TILT DOWN position.

Move rear door switch (4) to the OPEN position. Release the switch when the rear door is fully open.
Stop the engine.
Turn the key switch to the ON position.

Open the electrical panel near the left steps.
Move rotor service switch (5) to the SERVICE position. The electric motor should cycle on and then stop. If the motor continues to cycle on and off every 10 seconds, refer to the procedure in Specifications, Systems Operation/Testing and Adjusting, KENR3134, "Hydraulic Accumulator (Parking Brake) - Test and Charge". If the motor does not cycle on and then off, troubleshoot the motor circuit.If the pump continues to run, troubleshoot the pressure switch and/or the relief valve on the engine hood valve.

Install rotor lock mechanism (6) .

Install chain (7) on rear door (8) .
Attempt to rotate rotor (9) by hand. If the rotor rotates, the brake release system is operating properly. If the rotor does not rotate, troubleshoot the electrical circuit for the rotor service switch.
Remove chain (7). Disengage rotor lock (6). Move rotor service switch (5) to the OFF. Move the key to the OFF position.
