A - LOCTITE 5900 Flange Sealant 1
If necessary remove the rails and position the engine onto a suitable engine stand.
Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Engine Oil and Filter - Change" for the proper draining and filling procedures.

Use a suitable lifting device or stand to support oil pan (2). The weight of oil pan (2) is approximately 170 kg (375 lb).
Remove bolts (1) and remove oil pan (2).

Engine is shown upside down.
Remove screen and suction bell assembly (3).
Remove tube assemblies (4) and the O-ring seals. Remove engine oil pump (5).

Remove gasket (6) from the oil pan. Discard gasket (6).Installation Procedure
Install oil pan (2) in the reverse order of removal.

Apply Tooling (A) to Locations (X). Make sure to spread an even layer across the entire abutment and fill in any gaps with the tooling.
Install new gasket (6). Apply Tooling (A) to Locations (X) with the gasket in place.
Apply clean engine oil to the O-ring seals of tube assemblies (4).
