a) Remove cover (7), O-ring seals (9), piston (6), spacers (5), spring (4), valve spool (3), slug (2) and valve (8) from valve body (1). b) Remove cover (11) from valve body (1). Remove the O-ring seal from the valve body. c) Remove valve spool assembly (12), spring (13) and stop (10) from valve body (1).d) Remove ring (17), sleeve (16), spring (15) and plunger (14) from valve spool assembly (12). e) If necessary, use a hammer and punch to push the two dowels (18) from valve body (1) to remove the retainer. 2. Remove directional selector valve spool (19), speed selector valve spool (23), plug (20) and the two plugs (21) from valve body (22) to disassemble the selector control valve.Assemble Transmission Hydraulic Control Valves
1. Make sure all of the parts of the control valves are clean and free of dirt and foreign material. Put clean oil on the parts of the valves at assembly. 2. Install the seal and plug (2), the two plugs (4) and valve spools (1) and (3) in valve body (5) to assemble the selector control valve. 3. Assemble the pressure control valve as follows: a) Install plunger (7), spring (8), sleeve (9) and ring (10) in valve spool assembly (6). b) Make sure the retainer for spring (14) is in position in valve body (13) with the large inside diameter toward spring (14). Install pins (11) to hold the retainer. The pins must not be extended in the spring bore of the retainer. c) Install stop (12), spring (14) and valve spool assembly (6) in valve body (13) as shown.d) Install the O-ring seals, cover (15) and the bolts. Tighten the bolts to a torque of 35 3 lb.ft. (45 7 N m).e) Install valve (20), valve spool (17), spring (18), the spacers, piston (19) and O-ring seals (16) in valve body (13) as shown.f) Install the cover and tighten the bolts to a torque of 35 5 lb.ft. (45 7 N m).4. Make adjustments to the transmission hydraulic control valves after the transmission is installed in the machine.
